See How This Tiny Cupboard Was Transformed Into a Beautiful Downstairs Cloakroom

Don't think you have the space to create that extra bathroom? Think again! Here's how our products helped to transform once customer's tiny space into a beautiful cloakroom.

We worked with Ginny who's behind Instagram account @ginpalace19 on this beautiful bathroom transformation, helping to turn her tiny cloakroom into a modern, minimalist suite.

An Outline of the Project

Ginny's palace is a beautiful bright space in Cheshire, which embraces neutral tones and is accessorised with abstract prints. The project in hand was converting the tiny cupboard under the stairs into a bathroom which had enough room for a toilet, small wall hung basin and minimalist accessories. Ginny describes her bathroom as "small but mighty" on her Instagram and we can see why!

What Were They Working With?

On speaking of the difficult job they had on their hands, Ginny said:

"It was a really tricky project to get right because of the space restrictions and various angles/wall heights, so we had to be really careful with dimensions of the bathroom suite.

The cloakroom has little natural light and no windows, so they have done an excellent job of making the space look bright and elegant, with brass accents adding a touch of sparkle that doesn't make you miss natural light.

What Was the Design Direction?

Ginny gets straight to the point, "I’ve always been a bit of a magpie, so gold accents were a must for me from the off." Here at Drench, we have a large selection of brushed brass tapware & accessories and they're a popular choice with our customers.

Wallpaper is also being more widely used in many bathrooms and there are more choices than ever for different tones and textures, with waterproof and splash resistant wallpapers available. On choosing the colour scheme, Ginny said:

"I was really excited about introducing pink into the house too, and I knew from the start that I wanted to pair brass fixtures with pink wallpaper."

How Did Our Products Fit Into the Design Idea?

Ginny admitted that Drench was an "obvious choice" for her brass fixtures and provided her with everything she needed to complete this project:

"Drench has a huge range of brass fixtures from all the leading bathroom brands accessible via the same place. It’s a great one stop shop, and I was able to get everything I needed for the project from their website."

Here are some products that feature in this bathroom design:

Crosswater are one of the most forward-thinking premium bathroom brands in the marketplace and we're happy to state that we are the largest retailer of Crosswater products in the UK. You can browse more of their brassware here, in a range of styles and finishes, including unlacquered brushed brass and classic matt black.

How Was the Overall Experience with Drench?

"The customer service has been brilliant, even going as far as helping me to source items directly with suppliers when it wasn’t available on the website. I’ve loved working with Drench so much that I am currently working with them again on a full bathroom renovation - watch this space!"

A massive thanks to Ginny for working with us on this project and we look forward to seeing the next full bathroom renovation! Keep in touch with Ginny over on her Instagram to follow her renovation updates.
