This Pink Bathroom Reveal Is Simply Stunning

This pink bathroom is so divine, we just had to find out more about it! Keep reading to hear more about how our products helped with this stunning transformation.

We spoke to Ellie from @sevenpalmtreehouse about her beautiful pink bathroom transformation which features a lovely pink and brass scheme layered with light woods and fun accessories. She chose Crosswater for most of her bathroom assets, which gives a perfectly polished and modern finish.

Here’s an insight into our conversation about the ins and outs of the bathroom renovation.

An Outline of the Project

Ellie was undergoing a whole home renovation and was keen to get stuck into the 1950s styled bathroom and give it a fresh update. She was keen to knock down the wall to the separate WC to make this into a bigger space:

“It was originally split into a bathroom with a separate toilet so the first thing we did was knock the wall down to open up the space and then got planning! I wanted to achieve a bathroom that was different to the usual with a cosy and more luxurious hotel feel to it.”

The Inspiration Behind the Pink + Brass Scheme

This was the first bathroom Ellie had designed from scratch, so was ready to go bold with the design scheme:

“I always said when we could design a bathroom ourselves, it would be pink as I love the warmth of the colour! I also just love brass - it runs throughout the house so I always go for this finish when picking a metal. It also complements the pink perfectly and helped to give the bathroom more of a luxury feel."

How Much Roughly Did the Renovation Cost?

Every renovation is different, so the cost of a new bathroom varies dramatically depending on various factors such as how big the space is, what products are chosen and how much labour is required. We asked Ellie if she managed to stay within budget:

“The bathroom renovation cost around £4,500 for the bathroom including fittings, tiles, bespoke cupboards etc. This didn’t include the labour of plumbing the room as we had the whole house replumbed at once. We managed to stay within the budget!”

Ellie’s Tips for Keeping Costs Down

Try to keep the original plumbing in the same position

“If possible try to keep things like the toilet, basin in the same position as they were previously, this will save money as pipes don’t need to be run further etc.”

Don't squeeze too much into the space

"Think about what you really need from the room. We were going to try and fit a bath in ours which would have have been a much bigger cost with the product and labour, so we decided against as we can eventually put one in our upstairs bathroom.”

Why Did She Choose the Crosswater MPRO Brushed Brass Collection?

Ellie gathered most of her inspiration from socials, such as Instagram and Pinterest and found that pink and brass schemes were something that massively appealed to her. She chose the ever popular Crosswater MPRO brushed brass collection:

“I love the colour and finish of the brass. I don’t think there’s any other brand with that unique colour, it’s the perfect brass! It's not too yellow but not too pale either.”
