The Drench difference
Minimally designed with a depth of only 145mm for smaller basins and cloakroom environments, the Photon mini mono basin mixer is aesthetically universal, combining a mix of slim-line contemporary, chrome edges with clean neutral curves and smart inner technology. The protective chrome finish keeps the Photon rust-free and durable so the overall design remains eye-catching and stylish for years to come. This single lever, mono basin mixer simply deck mounts to your sinks surface and you can upgrade to include a matching clic-clac waste for a fuss-free purchase.
The Photon's single lever's sole purpose is to control your water, and with quick glance temperature indicators this can be done instantly — Your perfect water temperature and flow can be found with ease by moving the levers up or down to regulate flow, and making left or right turns to control temperature. With an internal Ceramic disc cartridge, control will remain durable, glitch-free and smooth, while the spout aerator delivers a visually sensual water flow and uninterrupted temperature, for a soft and bubbly touch.
Specially designed by Vado, the included H2Eco flow regulator can potentially save you £360 on your utility bills in one year by regulating and controlling water flow to your tap without cutting corners on your pressure performance. Commonly tap water is pushed through in avoidable excess which leads to water waste, but with the H2Eco flow regulator, you can reduce your bills and your carbon footprint without lifting a finger. Vado offers a 15 year, peace of mind, guarantee with the Photon for a confident purchase.

Taps use either a ceramic disc cartridge or a rubber compression washer to control flow. Rubber washers will naturally wear down with use, and the tap handle will require more and more rotations to turn on or off. On the plus side, it's very easy to replace a rubber washer and they're available everywhere.
Ceramic disc cartridges need only a 90-degree rotation to fully open or close, and the 2 ceramic plates are incredibly hard-wearing and resilient. They're more expensive to make, but they allow for a huge range of designs, easy operation and simple maintenance if needed.
Whilst it is rare for a ceramic cartridge to need replacing, you may very occasionally need to remove and rinse the cartridge if grit or debris within the water system is preventing the 2 plates from closing properly. Much like replacing a rubber washer, this is a quick and easy job, and will ensure many years of use.

What Are Ceramic Disc Taps and Why Would You Want One?
Nowadays, the vast majority of modern bathroom and kitchen taps use ceramic disc cartridges instead of rubber washers. In simple terms, this means no (or at least far fewer) leaks, and only a 90-degree rotation to turn the tap on or off.
