The Drench difference
Slightly smaller than your average tap the Phase mini mono basin mixer is perfectly suited to smaller environments such as cloakroom bathrooms. Though the size is compact and neat, the tap still supplies you with smart tap technology that ensures for an easier wash routine and even saves you money.
The lever is situated for a slim-line and space saving shape, and with a slightly angled back that seamlessly lifts and turns for easy operation. Hot and cold indices are also featured which help to distinguish temperature at a quick glance, and a matching clic-clac waste can be included for a fuss free purchase. The spout flow aerator provides a soft and smooth, bubbly flow which is perfect for hard water areas. Aerators also help to save your pennies as they distributed water evenly, via the bubble infusion, which does not force excess water through that frequently gets wasted with standard taps. The H2Eco regulator comes fitted with this tap as standard. Specially designed by Vado the H2Eco technology controls and regulates water flow to the tap without cutting corners on water pressure performance. This in turn can save you up to £360 on your utility bills in one year, while also reducing your carbon footprint.
Finished with a high-shine chrome plated coating that protects against rust and daily use the Phase mini mono mixer also comes with a confident 15 year guarantee which is reflected in the products high quality design.

Taps use either a ceramic disc cartridge or a rubber compression washer to control flow. Rubber washers will naturally wear down with use, and the tap handle will require more and more rotations to turn on or off. On the plus side, it's very easy to replace a rubber washer and they're available everywhere.
Ceramic disc cartridges need only a 90-degree rotation to fully open or close, and the 2 ceramic plates are incredibly hard-wearing and resilient. They're more expensive to make, but they allow for a huge range of designs, easy operation and simple maintenance if needed.
Whilst it is rare for a ceramic cartridge to need replacing, you may very occasionally need to remove and rinse the cartridge if grit or debris within the water system is preventing the 2 plates from closing properly. Much like replacing a rubber washer, this is a quick and easy job, and will ensure many years of use.

What Are Ceramic Disc Taps and Why Would You Want One?
Nowadays, the vast majority of modern bathroom and kitchen taps use ceramic disc cartridges instead of rubber washers. In simple terms, this means no (or at least far fewer) leaks, and only a 90-degree rotation to turn the tap on or off.
