IP stands for ingress protection. It is a measure of the effectiveness of sealing electrical enclosures from foreign bodies such as tools and water.
IP ratings are given in two digits:
1st digit: A number between 0-6 which gives an indication of the protection from solid objects such as tools, dirt and dust. The higher the number, the better the protection.
2nd digit: A number 0-9 which indicates the protection of the electrical enclosures from moisture ingress. The higher the number, the better the protection against moisture.
This is what makes electric charges move. It’s the ‘push’ that causes electricity to move through a product. It’s important to choose low-voltage products for use in your bathroom to ensure they operate safely. For more information on voltage in bathroom zones read our article.

Cold Tail Length (mm)
The non-heating cable that connects your system to the power supply.
The length shows how far it can reach to your connection point — with longer lengths giving you more flexibility during installation, without the need for extra wiring.

This is the source of fuel your radiator or towel rail will use to provide heat. Radiators will generate heat through central heating systems, electricity, or a combination of both with dual fuel.
Central Heating:
These radiators will generate heat through the water pumped round your central heating system.
Electric:
Electric radiators contain fluid heated by an electrical element. They plug into a socket or are wired directly into the mains.
Dual Fuel:
Dual fuel radiators are able to run on both central heating and electric power. They contain a ‘summer’ heating element which will allow you to use your radiator in warmer months without needing to turn on your entire central heating system.
