The best height for a toilet is the height that allows you to sit down and stand up comfortably. Comfort height toilets are slightly taller than standard toilets, which makes them easier for those with reduced mobility to use.

The position of your toilet will usually be determined by where the soil pipe is in your bathroom. In the majority of homes, the soil pipe is located on an external wall and moving this pipe can be expensive. It’s also important to make sure you leave enough clearance in front of and to the sides of your toilet.
