Wall Cabinets

1. Choose the Location: Decide where you want to install the cabinet. It should be at a convenient height and in a location that allows easy access to its contents.
2. Locate Wall Studs: If possible, it's best to anchor your cabinet to wall studs for added stability. Use a stud finder to locate the studs behind the wall. Mark their positions with a pencil.
3. Measure and Mark: Measure and mark the desired height for the cabinet on the wall. Use a level to ensure the markings are straight. Make sure the marks align with the studs you located.
4. Prep the Cabinet: Remove any doors or shelves from the cabinet to make it easier to handle during installation.
5. Install Wall-Mounting Hardware: Depending on the design of your cabinet, you may have keyhole slots on the back or mounting brackets. Install the appropriate wall-mounting hardware at the marked positions on the wall. If attaching to studs, use screws directly. If not, use wall anchors and screws.
6. Hang the Cabinet: With the help of a friend, lift the cabinet into position and align it with the wall-mounting hardware. Make sure it's level and flush with the markings on the wall.
7. Secure the Cabinet: Once the cabinet is in the correct position, use a screwdriver or power drill to secure it to the wall-mounting hardware. If attaching to studs, drive screws directly into the studs. If using wall anchors, ensure the screws are tightened securely into the anchors.
8. Reattach Doors and Shelves: Once the cabinet is securely attached to the wall, reattach any doors or shelves that were removed earlier.
9. Final Adjustments: Double-check that the cabinet is level and properly secured to the wall. Make any necessary adjustments.
10. Clean Up: Remove any markings or pencil lines from the wall. Clean the cabinet and the surrounding area.
